Hi, my name is Sam. I'm 17 and live in Connecticut. I will be attending Johnson and Wales University- Providence next school year for Baking and Pastry Arts. I am not that comfortable talking about myself but here it goes! At first glance I may seem somewhat unapproachable, but that is only because my shyness is interpreted as “snobbyness”. It takes me very long to become close to people, due to the fact that I am so painfully shy, but I am (slowly but surely) working on changing that. I look at every day as an opportunity to become an even better person than I was the day before. I put 110% of myself into everything I do and everyone I encounter. I have been a vegetarian for about 5 years. Since becoming a vegetarian I have developed a passion for cooking, it started out as a necessity but it is now a passion. I see the culinary arts as, well, art. Everything you make is done with love and passion; each piece of food is its own unique piece of art. I don't play any sports because I dislike the aggressiveness and competitiveness of them; and honestly I have absolutely no coordination. I think that technology is an amazing thing but it also can be a weapon. For that reason I have chosen not to have a Facebook, Twitter, ect. But, don’t get me wrong, at some points I feel absolutely ridiculous and anti-social because of it. I like to think of myself as an old soul and I would have loved to be a teenager during The Beatles era. I am a total believer in karma and just simply treating people with love, acceptance, and respect. I feel as though society has ruined the image people strive to recreate, and that is why we all have so many insecurities. I believe that you are beautiful, wanted, accepted, and simply amazing; contrary to what anyone else might tell you. I am a very good listener; and I love to help anyone who is willing to let me in. I strive to make sure around me is happy. But that is just a little bit of information about me.
